Sherry Turkle
mentions the ability to edit and re-touch how we present our selves online
through technology whether it be appearance or written. It is almost as if we
isolate ourselves from reality in a way by passively developing a “reformed”
version of ourselves we may perceive as a “better version of ourselves”. I lost
my phone and have been without one for a month now. Because technology and
internet is very easy to access, performing school tasks and some communication
is possible. This being said, my mobility has been restricted which can become frustrating.
I agree with Sherry, however I believe it depends per person and their preferred
method of communication.
